Are you struggling to find a family photographer? Overwhelmed with who to chose? I get it! When we were ready to book our family session, I honestly had no idea where to work. Since becoming a Saint Louis family photographer myself, I have a few tips to help make selecting the right photographer easy.

Tip #1: Find your Favorite Photography Style

The first step in choosing a family photographer is to chose an editing style you love. Do you like bright and airy images? Or do you prefer warmer and more moodier images? Every photographer is different in how they edit. An easy way to see if you love someone’s work is to scroll on their Instagram or Facebook. You’ll know quickly if their style is for you! Tip #2: Set a Budget

There are thousands of St. Louis family photographers and they are all amazing! Each one has their very own price tag, so set a budget before you start shopping. Things to consider: how many images are included? Do you get print release? Can you order prints through your photographer? Are you going to want an album?

Tip #3: Find a Photographer you and your family are Comfortable With!

Make sure your photographer is someone you trust! The more you trust them the more likely you are to have fun, ask for help planning outfits, and you’ll be more willing to ask for posing help. If you have any questions about a family session- feel free to reach out. I would be happy to help!
